Synchronizing Data from Mobile Devices (HEAT MDM only)

If you are using Ivanti HEAT MDM, the data of mobile devices and their users are automatically transferred from the MDM database to the DSM database. You can specify the synchronization intervals in the DSM configuration (ICDB).
Also, you can start the synchronization manually, if required.

Some of the actions in DSM that apply to mobile devices are also transferred to the MDM database. However, this is not part of synchronization but is done after executing the respective action (deleting mobile devices or users, changing group memberships or transferring DSM users to MDM).

To manage mobile devices, the Manage Mobile Devices right is required.

How to synchronize mobile device data manually:

  1. Select the Managed Mobile Devices system container in the Organization Tree.
    The MDM organizations and groups plus the contained mobile devices are displayed.
  2. Select one of the following tasks to start synchronizing the data manually:

    Insert mobile devices, users and groups from MDM

    Inserts all devices, users and groups from the MDM database in DSM.
    Update group memberships Synchronizes the group memberships based on the MDM database. Note that new or deleted mobile devices or users are not considered.
