Configuring the Transport Layer
The Transport Layer ensures communication between the DSM infrastructure components (Event Dispatcher and Relay Proxy) inside of a secured zone and the DSM infrastructure components outside of a secured zone (despite an active firewall). To be able to communicate, the Transport Layer must be configured on the respective Management Points.
How to configure the Transport Layer:
- Open the Infrastructure view.
- Open the ICDB by selecting File > Open Configuration Database.
- Select the Management Point of a BLS in the site structure.
- In the Transport Layer, select List of Management Points that shall initiate Transport Layer connections to this Management Point and open the associated dialog by clicking ....
In the top section you can see the Management Points to which this Transport Layer will set up a direct connection. In the bottom section you can see the Management Points that will set up a direct connection to this Management Point.
- Optionally, you can specify the port the Transport Layer will use to communicate by selecting Transport Layer Settings > TCP Port for Transport Layer Communication.
- Close the ICDB by clicking File > Close Configuration Database.
The changes you applied are saved now.
