Inserting a Region

You can add a new region beneath the ORG or beneath an existing region. Enter the name of the new region and click Finish to create the region. The name must be unique within the parent object, i.e., ORG or region. You can change the name later.

If you save the configuration immediately after creating a new region, you receive the following consistency check message:
No master depot has been defined.
This message no longer appears when you have created a first site in the region and a depot in this site.

Master depot of the new region and responsible Distribution Service

• The new region is still not assigned a master depot. If you create a site beneath the region, the DSMC automatically makes the first depot of this site master depot of the new region. You can change the assignment: Distribution Settings > Master Depot.
• The Distribution Service responsible for the parent object is automatically responsible for the new region. You can change this assignment at any time.
