Changing Log File Settings

In the DSMC's configuration table in the Log file settings section you can customize the log files. Open the configuration table in expert mode to show the section.

• local path for log files
• Log file names containing user names (allows you to check which user account was used to call a program component, e.g. the NIAgent)
• detail level of local log files
• Max. log file size (KB) (maximum length of a log file)

The path for the log files can only be changed in the DSMC. The settings are valid globally.

In the NetInstall Monitor you can set the following settings for the log file on this computer in the menu > LogFileOptions.

• Write user defi­ned log files (includes the user name within the name of the log file)
• Set report level (detail level of the local log files)

The NetIn­stall Monitor settings apply locally and overwrite the global values.
