Checking the Distribution Status
This is how to view the distribution status:
- Select the desired package in the Software Library.
- Choose the
View Distribution Status task.
The Distribution Monitor is opened.
The following buttons allow you to filter the distribution targets displayed:Show or hide regions in the display
Show or hide sites in the display
Show or hide depots in the display
Updates the display
The table of distribution targets contains the following columns:
Target
The distribution target for the jobs within this package. The text in parentheses indicates whether the copy is located in the working directory or the installation directory (Work or Install.
Status
Status of the distribution to the target. The DSMC reads the appropriate values from the package's status file. THe meaning of the displayed status is explain in the table below.
Version
Version number of the project on the target in question.
Last Modified
Last update (distribution) of the project on this target.
Status Line
The status line displays statistics relating to the execution of the distribution job.
The individual objects within the site structure, from which the site structure is created, as well as all currently subordinated objects can be displayed for every site group. You cannot filter the display of the site groups themselves.
If distribution
was stopped because the period
of time permitted for project distribution was exceeded, you must
define a new period for the job in order to continue the distribution
process.
If distribution
was stopped because the replication
timeframe for the distribution process was inadequate, distribution
will be resumed automatically in the next timeframe.
Possible status:
Status | Description |

Current |
The target data are up to date. |
Obsolete |
The version at the source is newer than that at the target. Occurs when the package has been re-released and not yet distributed to the target. |
Package not available |
Distribution to this target has not yet started. (Status file does not exist; this is an indication that distribution has not taken place yet.) Otherwise, this message appears whenever the target lies outside the context of the repository. |
Running |
Shows that distribution is currently running on the corresponding target. |
Distribution stopped |
Displayed in the following situations: The administrator has stopped package distribution (red icon in the job list) The distribution period has been exceeded (distribution from .. to) The distribution job has been deleted The distribution timeframe currently stipulates no activity (for more information on the timeframe. |
Canceled |
Distribution was aborted because of an error. For further details on the error, see the Information column. |
Error |
An error has occurred while loading the status file. |
Newer |
Opposite of "Obsolete": Target is newer than the source. Cannot occur under normal circumstances. |
Unknown |
None of the leading conditions exists. |
