Specifying a Release Comment

The administrator can enter a default text for the comment that is added when a package or a revision is released.

How to add a default text as release comment:

1. Add the ReleaseCommentTemplate.txt file in \\<DSMShare>\SSI\Extern$.
2. Open the file with a text editor and enter the comment you want to use as default text when a package is released.

   Do not add line breaks. They cannot be used in release comments.

3. Save the file.

   After saving the file, the text you entered is automatically used as release comment.
   You can change the text if required. After releasing the package, the release comment is saved in the Revision comment package property and can be edited there. When a new revision is created, the contents of this package property is deleted.
   If there is already some text in the Revision comment package property (e.g. during packaging). DSM uses this text as default text!
