Offering the User a Hyperlink

In addition to the note, the hyperlink is another way of giving the user information about a forthcoming installation, e.g. on the intranet.

To use the hyperlink it is necessary to have a browser and Internet access on the client.

To ensure that the hyperlink is actually invoked, use the complete address (e.g. http://www.heatsoftware.com).

Select Configuration Table> AutoInstall Settings > Customizable AutoInstaller Hyperlink and then enter the hyperlink. An active option is identified by Active.

The procedure is as follows:

1. Start up the DSMC.
2. Switch to the Infrastructure view.
3. Choose the structure object in whose context you wish to make the setting.
4. Open the configuration   in expert mode and switch to the Configuration window.
5. Select from Configuration Table> AutoInstall Settings > Customizable AutoInstaller Hyperlink and open the window.
6. Under Settings > name of link, enter a meaningful name and under Link to URL enter the URL address.
7. Activate the option Use customizable hyperlink in AutoInstaller so that the hyperlink is displayed in the AutoInstall window of the client.
8. Confirm this with OK.
9. If required, pass the changes on to succeeding structure objects.
10. Close the configuration .
