Defining Execution Properties
Execution properties in the Packaging Workbench define and allow various behaviors of a package.
Specifically, the following are specified:
- whether the installation of this package is allowed to trigger a reboot of the computer
- whether the installation has to take place in a particular context (user logged on or not logged on)
- whether and where the package installation should trigger a notification
- whether the package itself may be assigned or can only be used as the component of a Software Set
- whether a specific installation order has to be maintained for the package when completely re-installing a computer
- whether the package may be automatically uninstalled when an assignment is deleted
The procedure for defining execution properties for a package is as follows:
- Open the Software Execution Properties dialog with the aid of the relevant task in the Packaging Workbench of the package whose execution properties you wish to specify.
- Select the desired settings in the individual tabs of the dialog.
- Close the dialog.
