Editing Properties (MSI Transform Editor)

The Properties tab of the MSI Transform Editor displays the public and private properties of the MSI-based software.

 

You can change the values of existing properties or add new properties. When doing so, note the following:

• The value of a public property must not be empty or longer than 256 characters.
• Public properties can only be designated using CAPITAL LETTERS.
  All other properties are automatically defined as private properties.

Changes are saved only after confirming with the Enter key.

Public properties enable you to influence the execution of an MSI-based software by specifying the property values as parameters for the MSIInstallProduct command.
