Handling Files with an Initialization Format (Spy)

Ivanti DSM treats Files with an initialization format (typically *.INI or *.CFG files) differently than program files: Program files are simply copied during later installation, INI files are expanded or changed as needed and their organization into sections and values is taken into consideration.

Ivanti DSM recognizes INI files not by their file name extension but by their structure:

• By default, all files with an INI format are treated as INI files independent of the file extension.
• If you use the advanced options, the Spy makes an enquiry if a file has an INI format but a different extension than .INI or .CFG.
