DCOMSetSecurity - Example

You can configure the security settings for the selected DCOM application in the dialogs described below.

First, please select a DCOM application from the Applications list. In the example: App ID: {00E7B358-...}.

Applications: Provides a list with the available DCOM application

App ID: ID of the selected DCOM application

Launch or Activation Permissions and Access Permissions

Click to find another DCOM application.

Specify the security settings in the Launch or Activation Permissions and the Access Permissions. You may use the default values or change the settings by selecting the option Customize > Edit.

Group or user names:

This list shows all of the groups and users who have been assigned the permission for this DCOM application. The respective permissions are displayed in the list below.  

You can add new groups or users or remove them from the list by clicking the Add... or Remove... buttons and entering the information in the following dialogs.

Permissions for Administrator:

You need to specify the permissions for the DCOM application for the selected group or user by selecting or deselecting the Allow or Deny checkboxes next to the respective permission.
