ExecutePolicies
Execute pending policy instances immediately (only if the requirements are met)
Definition
This command immediately executes the pending ('yellow') policy instances that belong to the specified packages.
Settings
- Packages or software tags (one per line):
Browse for the required package or enter the software tag here. Enter one item per line.
- Abort execution of current package if errors occur during execution
The execution of the current package is stopped if an error occurs. - Ignore maintenance settings
The pending policy is executed and the maintenance settings are ignored. - Ignore installation context (Install in service and user context)
The system ignores the Installation context package property and overwrites the setting.
Use this command to execute packages with 'yellow' (pending) policy instances, according to the respective policies (packages with red or green policy instances are ignored). When the package referenced in this command has been executed, the eScript continues.
ExecutePolicies works together with the ChangeSwAssignment command.
The command differs from the RunEScript command which executes packages but completely ignores policies and the 'policy logic'.
