Configure MSI-based software

Definition

Changes the installation state of features of an already installed MSI-based software.

Settings

Input

Product Code
The MSI-based software is identified via the product code (MSI GUID).
The list displays the feature hierarchy in a tree view.
Important:
- Nodes where settings have been changed are displayed in bold letters.
- Blue arrow: The installation state cannot be changed.
(Resp. features inherit the installation state of the superordinate object.)
- Click the appropriate icon to change the installation state

The following icons depict the changes to the installation state:
(An additional blue arrow points to Features that inherit the status of the parent object; please note that you cannot change the installation state of these Features)

	Keep installation state (default)	None
	New installation state: Installed locally	Feature will be installed
	New installation state: Install upon first use	Link will be installed
	New installation state: Start from network	Feature will be started from the network; locally installed files will be deleted
	New installation state: Not installed	Feature will be uninstalled
