Connect Network Drive
Definition
Use this command to connect a network resource to the specified drive.
Settings
Input
- Resource
name
Enter the name of server and resource using the syntax of the respective network operating system:
- Novell: server/volume:ressource
- LAN-Manager, LAN-Server, NT-Server: \\server\resource - [Password]
Enter a password only if you are using "share level security",
that is you can only access the specified resource with a valid password. - Drive
name
Enter the name of the drive you want to access the resource with.
If you have started the execution of an installation package and you cannot connect to the specified network drive, the installation package will be continued to be executed anyway.
The connection you established is only valid during the current Windows session and will not be available after restarting Windows. You can store the connection by entering the respective information in the [Network] section of the WIN.INI file.
