Starting Sysinternals PsTools From The DSMC

You can start the Sysinternals PsTools from the DSMC. Download the application package from the Sysinternals website and import it to the DSM environment. After importing the application, all of the selected PsTools commands are available in the context of the computer objects in the DSMC and can be executed synchronously or asynchronously.

How to import the Sysinternals PsTools to the DSM environment:

  • Download the Sysinternals PsTools from the following website:
    http://download.sysinternals.com/files/PsTools.zip.
  • Unpack the files in the folder \\DSM-SERVER\DSM$\EXTERN$\Tools\PSTools\.
  • In the DSMC: Go to the Organization view.
  • Open the context menu of the ORG object and select the task Manage user-defined tasks.
  • Click the Import/Export section.
  • Select the task Import user-defined tasks directly out of the box.
  • Select the PsTools you need from the list.

    During the import, the system creates up to three task groups (CustomTools: Restart,  CustomTools: Remote Control and  CustomTools: System) and fills them with the tasks you selected.
