User-Defined Tasks (Virtualization)

The following user-defined tasks come with virtualization:

  • Perform inventory
  • Start VMware vSphere Client
  • Start VM (VMware)
  • Stop VM (VMware)
  • Shut-down VM (VMware)
  • Resume VM (VMware)
  • Reset VM (VMware)

They are contained in the Virtualization task group. The task group und tasks are system objects and cannot be deleted.

Please note that the Operate VMHost right is required for executing all tasks.

You can specify for every user-defined task in which object's context it will be executed.

The following contexts are available:

  • Virtualization Object
  • Virtualization Host
