Supported Platforms (Virtualization)

DSM supports the following virtualization platforms:

• VMware ESX 4.0, 4.1
• Citrix XenServer 5.5 and higher

Microsoft Hyper-V

Microsoft Hyper-V at the moment is not supported by DSM. This virtualization solution can however be integrated by means of customizing with the help of HEAT Software Consulting.

Microsoft PowerShell 2.0

To employ DSM's virtualization functionality, please install the Microsoft PowerShell 2.0 on the following computers:

• The management point where the Business Logic Auxiliary Service is installed (by default: Primary BLS)
• The administrator workstation.This is the computer where you start the DSMC.
