Description:

Use this setting to specify which data on the managed client is included in the client synchronization and transferred to the server later. There are different features available for the inventory of managed computers in DSM, depending on the scope of processed data.

The system always runs the following inventory processes (they cannot be configured):

  • Basic information such as manufacturer, product or model.
    The system displays this information in the DSMC property window in Basic Inventory.

You can include or exclude the following inventory features:

  • Membership in external groups (e.g. Active Directory)
    You can specify that the group memberships in the basic inventory are deleted when computers or users leave the group.
  • PnP devices (this information is used for managing PnP drivers)
  • Network connection settings (this information is used for Wake-On-LAN and Fast Install)

Possible values:

Full inventory (all options checked)

Limited inventory (individual or no options checked)
