Check Package Checksums Before Installation
Section: |
Site |
Description: |
Use this setting to check CRC + SHA-256 checksums before installing a package.
To ensure data security when installing packages, the system calculates the CRC and SHA-156 checksum and stores it in the package.fpi file. When the package is distributed, the checksums are compared to the source. Data security can be increased with the 'extended' value in the section Distribution > Check mechanism. This setting provides additional security. Before installing the package, the AutoInstaller checks the checksums again. This method guarantees that the package n the client computer's cache has not been changed. |
