Delay [sec] when Starting AutoInstaller
Section: |
AutoInstaller |
Description: |
By using Delay when starting AutoInstaller, you make sure that the login process will be finished before the DSM Agent starts the Installer.
Depending on your network, the time for the login process may differ. In some cases, the Agent starts the Installer before login is completed; then the Installer will not work properly using the specified user account. To prevent this, use the setting Delay [sec] when starting AutoInstaller. |

Reasons for change: |
The time for loading user profiles during login can differ. Use this setting to create consistent installation requirements. |
Notes/Warnings: |
If you do not use this option, the installation on some computers may start even before the Windows Explorer is active. (For example, on slow networks that use server-based profiles.) This will lead to inconsistent results. (Please consider that entries in the registry take place before the Explorer starts. If this happens, the Explorer will also be affected during startup.) |
