DSM Console - Overview

The DSMC is the central "administrator console" you will use to create and manage computers or to set up and manage the site structure according to your needs. The DSMC as central point allows you to control the distribution of the DSM Client components; here, all DSM modules are integrated in one user interface.

The basic principle of the DSMC is point - click - manage – The most important tasks are only a few clicks away.

The way the individual areas are arranged in the DSMC reflects this goal:

• The individual windows are updated dynamically, depending on the object you selected in the "parent" window.
• The workflow is always the same (see Figures 1-4):
  In all windows you select the object you want and then you will get the respective selection in the following windows.
• The individual windows contain tabs where you can view additional aspects of the selected object.
• Menu bar and tool bar provide important commands context-sensitively and also dynamically.
