Configuration Table
In the Infrastructure view' s Configuration tab, the configuration properties are presented as a table. The configuration table changes depending on the type of object.
Table Structure
The table consists of sections containing one or more entries. All entries are described in the Description of Variable column and their current value is displayed in the Value column. In addition, in the left column you can see an icon displaying the current status of the value; the icon changes depending on whether the value is a default value or has been changed by the user (see below for more information).
You can open a section by clicking the icon +. You can close the section by clicking - . Clicking + or - in the table header, opens or closes all sections. When switching to another window, the current window content is saved.
Description of Variable, Value
The Description of Variable column contains a description of all DSM variables available for the selected row. The Value column shows the currently set value.
Depending on whether it can be changed or not, the value is displayed differently in the configuration table:
- Black values can be changed
- Grayed values can only be displayed
In the Properties dialog you can change some values you can only read in the table.
Help
Click the variable description with the right mouse button to open the context menu. Select Display Definition to open the Variable Definition dialog box displaying the properties of the selected variable.
Click Help on this Value to display further information about almost all variables.
Inheritance Icon
Inheritance means that a value can be passed on to child objects in the site structure. For example, if a value has been set to ORG level it can be passed on to all site structure objects. Most values can be inherited like this.
In the first column of the table you can see the Inheritance icon.:
The value of this variable (or this option) has been inherited from a parent
object
The value has been changed
No icon
The value is a default value. Inheritance is not possible because there
is no parent level.
Standard Mode/Expert Mode
When starting the DSMC, the configuration table is opened
in standard mode; i.e. only the most important settings are displayed.
To display all settings you must switch to expert
mode by selecting View > Expert Mode.
