Installation Targets

After packages have been created, they must be distributed in the infrastructure and then released in order for the packages to be assigned to installation targets for installation. Objects to which you can assign packages are accordingly referred to as installation targets.

Computer and User are both installation targets. These in turn are organized into organizational units (OU) and groups to facilitate administration and assignment.
