Special features and limitations of ThinApp

You have to package the following applications and deploy them to installation targets in the conventional manner:

• Applications requiring the installation of kernel mode device drivers. Exception: ODBC drivers can be virtualized because they work in user mode.
• Anti-virus and personal firewall software
• Scanner and printer drivers
• Some VPN clients

You can go by the following rule of thumb: whenever an application requires kernel mode operations, it cannot be virtualized.
