Controlling the Distribution Steps Between more than Two Sites
There are three physical sites that are to be defined in a site structure: ES, HH and MUC.
There are just two physical distribution steps – independent of which site is connected to which.
One of the sites must be the site of the central depot; it therefore has a special centralized function. Let us assume that ES is the headquarters. Depending on how ES is linked to the other sites, the required physical distribution steps must occur sequentially or simultaneously from the headquarters.
The sequence of the actual distribution is determined by the hierarchical arrangement of the sites.
In the first case, you would create MUC "below" HH:
In the second case, you would create the sites HH and MUC on the same level:
The same holds true for more than three sites.
