Configuration wizards

Package Studio supports every vendor MSI. Use the already available Configuration Wizard for MSIs from vendors like Adobe, Apple, Autodesk, Google, Microsoft, Oracle, RES and VMware, or Package Studio will auto-generate a Configuration Wizard for you instantaneously.

The Configuration Wizards provide you options to remove all desktop and Start Menu shortcuts, suppress reboots, disable auto-update mechanisms, include licensing Information, include database settings, and configure many other typical deployment options. These options are stored in a transform file (MST) for the selected MSI.

One example is the Google Chrome Configuration Wizard, with which one can configure the default configuration options for Google Chrome:

The following options are available to set up how Configuration Wizards work:

The Configuration Wizards Directory is the directory in which the wizard xml files are stored.

The Configuration Wizards Data Directory is the directory in which the wizard settings are stored.

Manager starts the Configuration Wizard Manager and shows all available wizards. Double-click one to show all the wizard options, which can be saved.
