Designing the Product Catalog form

Users with the Procurement Manager role (as well as the Asset Administrator and Asset Manager roles) can use the Request Offerings workspace to design the Product Catalog form, which is the user interface that enables users to request assets from the Product Catalog.

You should design the form after adding items to the Product Catalog workspace. Once the form is created, users can place asset requests from two places:

The Asset Requests workspace—for managers.

The Self-Service Portal website—for Asset Mobile users.

To design the Product Catalog form:

1.Display the Request Offerings workspace. In the left-side Browse by Category panel, click General Services.
A list displays showing the available form templates. Most of the templates are for Service Manager, but one, Computer Request from Product Catalog, is specific to Asset Manager.

2.Click Computer Request from Product Catalog.
The form-template designer opens. Complete the four procedures required to create the form:

Define the request offering

Design a request form

Plan a request fulfillment

Publish the action request

3.Click Save.
