Ivanti Neurons RBVM/ASOC/VULN KB Report Template Vulnerability Distributions are Uniqueness Count-Based

Summary: An in-depth explanation of the difference between total finding counts in the platform and unique findings highlighted in Neurons RBVM/ASOC/VULN KB report templates.

The report templates, found within the Reports section of the Dashboards toolbar menu, provide a high-level analysis of risk and threat within your Neurons RBVM/ASOC/VULN KB environment. Due to their high-level perspective, most of the vulnerability distribution counts within the reports are offered from a unique perspective. Neurons RBVM/ASOC/VULN KB defines unique vulnerabilities as the number of different scanner plugins. This is in contrast with many of the Platform’s dashboard widgets and list views which display total finding counts (i.e., each instance of every reported scanner plugin).

Unless otherwise noted within a report, unique and total vulnerability distributions only include open vulnerabilities. A unique vulnerability distribution provides the number of scanner plugins in each category. For example, the unique distribution by location can place the same unique finding in both an internal and external network environment.
