Version 14.08.00 Release Notes

Integrations

  • Generic Upload for Custom Attributes - Users can now set custom attribute values for hosts, applications, host findings, and application findings through Generic Upload.
  • New AWS fields for Tenable.io - The existing integration for Tenable.io has been enhanced to include the asset identifiers from AWS cloud assets. These new fields will allow users the to create views, filters, widgets, and exports reflecting the AWS identifiers. The scanner-specific fields available with this release include:
    • Nessus AWS EC2 Instance Group Name
    • Nessus AWS EC2 Name
    • Nessus AWS EC2 Instance State Name
    • Nessus AWS EC2 Instance AMI ID
    • Nessus AWS EC2 Instance ID
    • Nessus AWS Owner ID
    • Nessus AWS Region
    • Nessus AWS VPC ID
    • Nessus AWS EC2 Instance Type
    • Nessus AWS Subnet ID
    • Nessus AWS EC2 Product Code

Miscellaneous Changes

  • On the Multi-Client Dashboard, the widget “Vulnerable Clients” now shows the total count of findings on the client relative to the number of findings that match the selected column topic. The contrast between the two numbers is represented both numerically and visually.

Fixed Issues

  • The detail pane for a host or application will now display all associated groups.
  • The “Top 10 Unique Findings” widget will show the correct sorting and scores for the plugins. Additionally, quickly changing the selection of the Critical, High, Medium, Low, Info checkboxes for this widget will no longer cause issues with the accuracy of displayed information.
  • The “Client Filter Overview” widget on the Multi-Client dashboard will no longer combine clients with similar names into a single bar.
  • Within the “Approve Workflow” dialogue for automated workflows, the calendar for selecting the automation stop date will now work correctly after you use the “clear” button to remove the previous date.
  • Menus on the System Dashboards like Quick Interactions and the Filter Bar will close more quickly after a user makes a change.
  • Uploaded files that are mapped to a specific application will be properly associated to the desired application.
  • Ticketing connectors will honor the defined template for exported attachments rather than applying the default columns.
  • Users can now use spaces in a new custom role name.
