RS³ Timeline Widget Calculation Frequency

Summary: Additional information on how often the RS³ Timeline widget calculates a data point.

The RS³ data point on the RS³ Timeline widget trend line will only be calculated when an event occurs that causes a change to the client's overall score.

Common RS³-impacting events include scan results being uploaded, findings closed via Update Remediation by Assessment or the workflow system being applied, and the addition of new threat and/or asset data.

The platform will defer an RS³ recalculation if there are multiple other RS³-impacting actions the users/client perform that would incur an RS³ recalculation. In other words, the RS³ calculations are lower-priority system tasks than events such as parsing in new scan results or moving assets amongst groups and will be deferred until after those tasks are complete.
