Where to go from here?

  • Expand the service Adobe Illustrator with additional capabilities. For example:
    • Use additional service attributes.
    • Change the qualification so only people in a specific organizational element can request the service.
    • Add additional workflow actions for different actors.
  • Synchronize other information from the files AdventureWorks Employees.csv and AdventureWorks EmployeeDepartments.csv into your environment, by configuring other data connections.
  • Delete one of the data connections that you configured and see what happens.
  • Create new services from the Ivanti Workspace Control and Ivanti Automation Consoles.
  • To start with Identity Director in a production environment, start by automating the user creation process. If this works, you can slowly add other services. Tip: use Building Blocks to transport services and organizational elements from your test environment to your production environment.
  • The Transaction Safeguard is powerful functionality in Identity Director that can help prevent unintended changes your environment. For example, a misconfiguration in one of your data connections could accidentally delete all your Identity Director people and start deprovisioning them, simply by synchronizing the wrong file. Ivanti recommends to configure the transaction safeguard to prevent unintended changes.
  • Customize the look and feel of the Web Portal to the branding of your company, in the Management Portal at Setup > Branding.
