- Row value:
- In the Using data field field, specify the field or column in the external data that stores the name of the attributes.
- In the And set value to field, specify the field or column in the external data that stores the value of the attributes.
Example row valueIn this example, the data connection looks up Organizational Attributes by row value: - The data connection looks up the departments in the external data source by Name in the column Departments.
- The data connection looks up the Organizational Attributes by row value. It looks in the column OA Name for its name and in the column OA Value for its value.
This results in the following: - For the department Support, the data connection applies the Organizational Attribute City with value Chicago.
- For the department Support, the data connection applies the Organizational Attribute Building with value Chrysler Building.
- For the department Support, the data connection applies the Organizational Attribute MailingList with value ML_Support.
- Etc.
- Column name:
- In the Using data field field, specify the column(s) in the external data that store the attribute information you want to synchronize. The selected column names are the names of the attributes.

- The data connection looks up the Organizational Attributes by column name in the columns City, Building and MailingList.
This results in the following: - For the department Support, the data connection applies the Organizational Attributes Chicago, Chrysler Building and ML_Support.
- For the department Sales, the data connection applies the Organizational Attributes London, Tower Bridge and ML_Sales.
- For the department R&D, the data connection applies the Organizational Attributes Den Bosch, Head Quarters and ML_RnD.
