Step 4: Testing for and Verifying the New Certificate

You can use the Test Console Configuration command to verify your new certificate environment.

C:\Program Files\Ivanti\Security Controls>stmgmt.exe -test_console

The section titled Testing for console issuing certificate configuration of the command output will show that your sub-authority certificate was found and that it was issued by your root authority.

Another way to verify your new environment is to check that the new console and agent certificates have been issued and distributed to the correct certificate stores.

• The new console certificate will be issued and distributed automatically and in very short order as part of using Security Controls.
• A new agent certificate will be automatically issued whenever a new agent is installed or when an existing agent's certificate needs to be reissued.
