Discovery of Machines in Your Organization

In order to maintain a safe and secure environment, you must be able to discover all of the physical and virtual machines that are located in your organization. After all, you can't protect or defend against something if you don't know it is there.

Security Controls will automatically discover all of your machines for you. It will do this whenever you perform a scan of targets such as an IP range, a vCenter Server, a domain, an organizational unit, or your entire network. All of the machines contained within the specified target will be automatically detected and added to the list of managed machines. And best of all, this discovery feature is not limited to a specific type of scan. Discovery will occur anytime you perform a patch scan, an asset inventory scan, a power status scan, or certain ITScripts functions.
