Active Filters: Overview

Summary: High-level overview of active filters in Ivanti Neurons RBVM/ASPM/VULN KB.

Filters provide Ivanti Neurons RBVM/ASPM/VULN KB users with helpful ways of sorting findings and organizing scanner data. Active filters are a key component of sorting findings and vulnerabilities. Setting an active filter lets you take data in Neurons RBVM/ASPM/VULN KB and narrow your scope based on your select filters. You can set up several active filters at the same time. Clicking the Active Filter (Active Filter - Small) button on a list view allows you to set an active filter and view all filters currently applied to the list view.

Filter Category: Select what field to filter by. Click the text box; an alphabetical list appears of all filterable fields. Either type your filter category and select it from the list or scroll through the list and select your filter category.

Is/Is Not: Include/exclude specific data sets from your filter.

Operator: Fine-tune what you want to filter. Options in this drop-down menu change depending on the filter category.

Remove Spaces Before and After Each Value: When checked, the filter values entered will have whitespace removed before and after each value.

Value: The value to filter for in the filter category. Click the text box; an alphabetical list appears of all available values. Either type out the value and select it from the list or scroll through the list and select your value.

Clear: Clear the information from the fields. If you have already applied other filter criteria, clicking this button will not clear those items.

Add: Add the new filter parameters to the active filter. When you click add, it will update the page’s list view with the filter applied.

Clear All: Clear all fields and remove all applied filters. Only available when one or more filters are applied.

Save: Save your current active filter. Only available when one or more filters are applied.

There are two methods to determine if active filters are applied to your current data set.

Active Filter Bar: When filters are applied to a data set, they appear next to the page breadcrumbs in the active filter bar. This bar indicates that the provided criteria are filtering the data set. To remove a filter criterion, click the X button next to the filter criterion you want to remove. If this filter bar is not present, filters are not applied to the current data set.

Active Filter Button: For additional details about the filters applied in the Active Filter bar, click the Active Filter button. All filter criteria appear underneath the box to add filter parameters. To remove a filter criterion, click the X button next to the filter criterion you want to remove. To edit the filter criterion, click the pencil icon next to the X to modify that filter setting.
