Creating a Scanner from the Scanners Page

Summary: How to create a custom scanner for manual data management from the Scanners page

You can use scanners on this page in multiple ways. For example, use them to create findings manually through the platform or the API. You can also associate scanners with field mappings for Generic Upload.

Go to the Navigation bar. Click the configuration icon on the upper right and select Configuration>Scanners.

On the Scanners page, click Create.

Provide a name, select a type (HOST or APP), and enter a version. You can also provide an optional description. Then click Submit.

Your new scanner will appear in the list shortly.
