Rebuild Service Catalogue and knowledge search indexes (2016.2, 2017.1)

As part of the upgrade to 2016.2, the Asset Management module has been removed, and all of its objects have been moved to the Configuration Management module. As a result of this change, after upgrading to 2016.2 you must rebuild your Service Catalogue and knowledge search indexes.

Also, changes caused by the addition of the Service Catalogue ordering functionality (see Setting the order of items in Service Catalogue) mean that after upgrading to V2017.1 you must rebuild your Service Catalogue index.

To rebuild the Service Catalogue and knowledge indexes:

  1. In Ivanti Console, start the Knowledge Management Administration component.
  2. Display the Knowledge Settings.
  3. In the Actions list, click Rebuild Knowledge.
    The knowledge search indexes are rebuilt.
  4. Click Rebuild Service Catalogue.
    The Service Catalogue search indexes are rebuilt.
