Renaming devices (Apple)

Rename managed devices from the Management Console. The new name will show in the network view and in the device's about information.

To rename a device

1.Find the device in the Network view.

2.Right-click it and click MDM Actions > Rename Device.

3.Enter a name for the device.

The command is sent to the device. If the device is unreachable at the time the command is sent, the device waits until its scheduled update time.
