No two organizations are the same, and no two organizations operate in the same way. For this reason, you can customize your system yourself to match the way in which your organization works.
Object Designer enables you to customize which information you record. For an overview of the Object Designer and business objects, see Object Designer.
Window Manager enables you to customize how that information is presented on windows to the user. For an overview about the Window Manager and customizing windows, see Windows.
For an in-depth explanation of creating new windows and modifying existing ones, see Window Manager.
Process Designer enables you to create new processes (or workflows). For an overview of the Process Designer and processes, see Processes.
For an in-depth explanation of creating new processes and modifying existing ones, see Process Designer.
Query & Report Designer enables you to create and edit queries and reports. You can quickly produce queries in response to ad hoc questions from managers, and you can also deliver your query as an HTML report.
For an in-depth explanation of creating and modifying queries and reports, see Query and Report Designer.
Dashboard Designer enables you to design dashboards that display lists, data, web pages, and shortcuts that relate to yourself, your role or group, for example your Workload List. These show you at a glance a range of data relevant to your work.
For an in-depth explanation of how to create and modify dashboards, see Dashboards.
The later sections of this document describe in detail how to customize your system using these design tools. Calculations describes how to manipulate data using calculations, and Designing a multilingual system describes how to design windows, processes, and queries that enable users to view the system in their own language.
This first section, however, gives a brief overview of the concepts involved.
