Impact analysis determines the impact that a change to a CI will have on other CIs, and hence the level of service that can be provided to other users. An initial version of viewing impact analysis in Workspaces is now available to help you to evaluate the impact that a change will have by providing a list of the affected CIs (if any).

You need the Create privilege under Modules\Configuration Management\Non-Process Related Objects\Configuration Item Relationship to view impact analysis in Workspaces.
You can view impact analysis either from a CI window, or from a process window that includes a CI field.
The appearance of the list of impacted CIs is controlled by a new query that is added during the database upgrade called Impacted CI Summary. You can modify this query using the Query and Report Designer in Console.
You can filter the list of impacted CIs using the filter box above each column.
To close the list of impacted CIs, click x above the list.
To view further information about an impacted CI, click it in the list of impacted CIs.
