Locations
You can create a hierarchy of locations in License Optimizer and associate hardware and named users with these locations. You can add locations at the top level of the hierarchy, or as a child of an existing location. You can also move a location to a new parent location if required.
To add a top-level location:
1.Under Configuration on the menu bar, click Locations.
The Locations page appears.
2.Click Add new location. To add a location.
The Add Location dialog appears.
3.Enter a Location Name, and complete the address details as required, then click OK.
The new location is added at the top level of the hierarchy.
To add a new child location:
1.In the Locations data grid, select the check box for the parent location.
2.On the gears menu, click Add Child Location.
The Add Location dialog appears.
3.Enter a Location Name, and complete the address details as required, then click OK.
The new location is added as a child of the selected location.
To assign locations to a new parent location:
1.Select the check boxes for the locations that you want to move to a new parent.
2.On the gears menu, click Edit Parent Location.
The Select Parent Location dialog appears.
3.Expand the tree of locations and choose the new parent, then click OK.
The locations are moved to their new parent location.
To move a location to the top of the hierarchy, select the Unassign Parent check box on the Select Parent Location dialog, then click OK.
To delete a location and its children, select its check box, then select Delete from the gears menu. You cannot delete a location if it has hardware or users associated with it.
