Creating a new variable

You can create a new variable to use in scenario modelling from the Scenario Modelling page.

To create a variable:

1.Click Variables in the Create Items drop-down list.
The Create new variable dialog appears.

2.Type a Name for the new variable.

3. Select the Private option for Sharing.

DO NOT select the Shared option for Sharing.

4.Select the required Category Type by typing in the Category box. As you start to type, the field displays existing Category Types that match your input.

5.Select the required unit of measure from the Unit drop-down list: Count, Currency, or Percentage.

6.Type a Default Value, then click OK.
The new variable is saved and id available to use in scenario models.
