Accessibility Settings Policy

In 11.11.0.0 release, a new Accessibility Settings Policy is added, which will provide the administrator with the ability to configure the following accessibility controls remotely for supervised iOS devices.

Configuring a Accessibility Setting policy

Procedure

  1. Go to Policies & Configs > Policies.
  2. Select Add New.
  3. Select iOS and macOS > iOS only > Accessibility Setting.

    The Accessibility Setting Policy window is displayed.

  4. See Accessibility Setting policy settings as a guideline for filling out the form.
  5. Select Save.
  6. Go to Actions > Apply To Label.

    Accessibility Setting policies are supported on supervised devices and should be associated to a "Supervised" label.

  7. Select the label or labels to apply from the Apply To Label dialog box.
  8. Select Apply.

The following table describes the settings available in the accessibility setting policy.

Name

Enter a name for the accessibility setting policy.

Status

Select Active to enable the policy, or Inactive to disable it.

Priority

Set the priority of accessibility setting policy, if there is more than one accessibility setting policy.

If you want to place greater priority on this accessibility setting policy than another, select Higher than, and then select the accessibility setting policy over which this policy will take priority.

If you want to place lesser priority on this accessibility setting policy than another, select Lower than, and then select the accessibility setting policy that will be used before the one you are defining.

Description

Enter a description of the accessibility setting policy.

Bold Text Enabled (Boolean)

If true, enables bold text.

Increase Contrast Enabled (Boolean)

If true, enables increase contrast.

Reduced Motion Enabled (Boolean)

If true, enables reduced motion.

Reduce Transparency Enabled (Boolean)

If true, enables reduced transparency.

Text Size

The accessibility text size apps that support dynamic text use. 0 is the smallest value, and 11 is the largest value available. Default value is 4.

Touch Accommodations Enabled (Boolean)

If true, enables touch accommodations.

Voice Over Enabled (Boolean)

If true, enables voice over.

Zoom Enabled (Boolean)

If true, enables zoom.
