Retiring the Retire Pending devices

Usually, when you issue a Retire command for a device (see Retiring or deleting retired devices by threshold,) it is moved to a Retired state and is considered "Retire Pending." Sometimes the devices remain in the Retire Pending state. Ivanti EPMM offers a Force Retire check box to make sure the device is Retired (see Retiring a device.) Ivanti EPMM also offers the ability to schedule the Retiring of Retire Pending devices.

Procedure 

  1. Go to Settings > Users & Devices > Retire And Delete Retired Devices.

    The Retire And Delete Retired Devices page displays.

  2. Make your selections using the table Retiring of Retire Pending devices as your guideline.

  3. In the Retire And Delete Retired Devices page, select Save.

Retire the Retire Pending Devices That have Been Not Checked-In More Than

  • Days: 30 days is default, 365 days is maximum allowed.
  • Hours: 1 hour is default, 23 hours is maximum allowed.

Show retire pending devices list

Selecting the link opens the Advanced searching page in Devices & Users and poplulates the search with the regular expression for the search. Select Search.
Maximum Retire Pending Devices to Retire in Each Session

Select 100, 500, or 1000 (100 is default.)

The cleanup session may have an impact on the overall system performance.

Automatically Retire the Retire Pending Devices on a Schedule

Selecting this check box expands the Retire the Retire Pending Devices Schedule Configuration section.

Retire the Retire Pending Devices Schedule Configuration
  • Frequency: Select Daily (default), Weekly, or Monthly
  • At: Select the time. Default is 12am.

Force Retire the Retire Pending Devices Now

Selecting this button will retire the device that meets the Retire the Retire Pending Devices That have Been Not Checked-In More Than X days criteria. The last retire session is stated beside this field.

Force Retire All the Retire Pending Devices

Select this button to force the retirement of all Retire Pending devices now. The last retire session is stated beside this field.
