Configuring Data Purging

You can:

• Configure the number of data indexes to retain.
• Purge reports older than a specified number of days.
• Purge alerts older than a specified number of days.
• Purge data on demand.

The default purge scheduler runs once a week, over the weekend, and ensures that the number of indexes retained matches the Number of data indexes to retain value.

Configuring Data Purging

To configure data purging:

Procedure 

1. Click Settings.

   
   

2. Click Data Purge.
3. Configure the purge settings. An index contains a week worth of data. The more indexes you retain, the more disk space is needed.
4. Click Apply.

Purging Data On Demand

To purge data on demand:

Procedure 

1. Access the Data Purge page as described in Configuring Data Purging
2. Click Run.
