Advanced traffic control for AppTunnel traffic

The advanced traffic control feature is supported starting with MobileIron Core Version 7.0 and Standalone Sentry Version 6.0.

A separate license is required for this feature.

The Advanced traffic control features allows you to uniquely manage and direct traffic for each AppTunnel service. It gives you the flexibility to configure each AppTunnel service to align with your enterprise rules for accessing your backend resources.

With advanced traffic control, you can

•configure multiple proxy servers on the Standalone Sentry.

•specify how a specific backend resource is accessed.

You specify whether the backend resource is accessed through a proxy server, allowed access, or blocked.

You configure traffic control information in the Admin Portal in Services > Sentry. Add or Edit an existing Standalone Sentry. The Sentry must be enabled for AppTunnel. Select the check box for Advanced Traffic Control (ATC) in the App Tunneling Configuration section. For detailed information, see “Adding an entry for Standalone Sentry on MobileIron Core”.
