Configuring DNS for Ivanti Standalone Sentry

Configure DNS so that the Ivanti Standalone Sentry instance on AWS uses DNS on the other side of the AWS tunnel by default. Configuring the DNS for Ivanti Standalone Sentry is optional. You may need to configure the DNS for Ivanti Standalone Sentry in some cases, such as, the backend resources that Ivanti Standalone Sentry connect to are on premise.

Procedure

1. In the AWS VPC console, go to DHCP Options Sets.
2. Create a new DHCP Options Set.
- Add the internal domain name for Ivanti Standalone Sentry.
- Add the on-premise DNS server address.

The Ivanti Standalone Sentry AWS instance in the VPC now defaults to using the DNS on the other side of the AWS tunnel by default.

For more information, see the AWS documentation at Changing the Set of DHCP Options a VPC Uses.
