State and encryption mode of Android secure apps

To see device details about the state and encryption mode of Android secure apps:

  1. On the Admin Portal, go to Devices & Users > Devices.
  2. Expand the device details panel of an Android device, by clicking the up arrow next to the checkbox.
  3. Select the Device Details tab.
    The following details relate to AppConnect apps on the device:

Secure Apps Enabled

true if the AppConnect global policy for the device is enabled. That is, for the AppConnect field, Enabled is selected.

Otherwise false.

Secure Apps Encryption Enabled

true if the device user has created a secure apps passcode.

Otherwise, false.

NOTE: This field is applicable only when you have selected Passcode is required for Android devices on the AppConnect global policy. When an AppConnect passcode is not required, encryption is always enabled, without depending on the device user to create a secure apps passcode.
