Activating Ivanti Neurons for Mobile Threat Defense for MDM

When you have completed the Ivanti Neurons for Mobile Threat Defense prerequisites, you can activate Ivanti Neurons for Mobile Threat Defense solution for your managed devices.

Procedure 

  1. From the Admin console, go to Configurations.
  2. Select +Add.
  3. Select Mobile Threat Defense Activation.
  4. In the Create Mobile Threat Defense Configuration page, enter a name for the configuration.
  5. (Optional) Enter a description.
  6. In the Configuration Setup section, select the vendor Lookout.
  7. In the License Key field, enter your unique encrypted Ivanti Neurons for Mobile Threat Defense activation code, also called the global enrollment code from the MES console. The protection policy configured in MES and corresponding to the selected global enrollment code will be applied as part of this configuration.
  8. In the Wake up Intervals (mins) field, keep the default value of 60 minutes, or set a higher or lower value. Note that more frequent wake-up times may result in unacceptable battery usage for iOS clients.
  9. Select Next.
  10. Select the Enable this configuration option.

  11. Select one of the following distribution options:

    • All Devices
    • No Devices (default)
    • Custom
  12. Select Done.

Devices with MTD enabled report MTD Activation Status to MDM. The administrator can use this status to create custom policies if needed. The protection policy configured in MES can be changed on the devices by changing the global enrollment code in the MTD activation configuration.

MTD can be deactivated on the device by disabling the MTD activation configuration, or by undistributing the configuration from the selected devices.
