Assigning roles to the API user

After you have added an API user, you need to assign MTD-specific roles to it.

Before you begin 

Complete Creating a new API user before applying roles.

Procedure 

1. From the Admin console, go to Users.
2. Select the new API user you created previously.
3. From the User details page, select Assign Roles.

4. Select the following roles:

   • System Management
   • Device Read Only
   • Common Platform Services (CPS)
5. Select Next.
6. If the selected roles are "space bound," then select Spaces for all the space-bound roles. Only the default space is supported.
7. Review the summary of the assigned roles.
8. Select Done.
